💌 These days

Now that the proverbial band-aid's been ripped off (it felt so big to email you after so long 😅), I'm excited to share more from my story work world & beyond...

So, hey, I'm 2e AuDHD with a PDA profile

In other words, I received a neurodiversity upgrade since I last wrote.

I'll explain what those terms and words mean in time, but for short: I'm an Autistic ADHD'er.

Looks like all those stories I've shared about Levi came from THIS parent more so than the other. ;)

THE POINT: 1) I'm loving this neurodiversity pride. 2) Last year, when I was really IN it (mental health crisis), I fought for Autism assessments (long story). For my assessment, the *neurodiversity affirming* psychologist asked for a personal narrative about my life—through the lens of Autism, of course—and pictures.

Using our tiny stories for a health diagnosis?! Yes, please!

Soon I'll share the full diagnosis story over on...

Medium

Are you a Medium reader or writer? This is brand new to me.

I was introduced to Medium through a writing challenge by Sinem Günel. Now, I'm in her Medium Writing Academy, and have written my first two pieces over there.

You'll see more of my stories on Medium, as it's a place to share more long-form work (my favorite) in comparison to, say, Instagram or Facebook that's better for short-form and those reels (which I loathe).

Medium sounds like the perfect platform for us storytellers, but I'll keep you posted as I learn!

This is my profile.

My first two articles are:

Elevate Your Voice

In 2022, I became a published author in the anthology Elevate Your Voice.

Quick synopsis:

"Meet 14 women who faced challenges—from heart failure at 29 to the end of a 40-year marriage—and not only lived to tell about them but found their voices and used them to shape a new sense of purpose."

My chapter is titled Build the Life You Need 🔥

Make Your Own "Everything I've Ever Created List & Art Gallery"

If you love the idea of developing your own personal art gallery and an all-encompassing list of everything you've ever created (or everything over the past 5 years, 10 years, etc.) then great news!

I created this video for you.

It's 11 minutes and shows you how I put mine together using only Google Drive.

Hint: It was such a cathartic, reinvigorating process that I cannot recommend enough!

There's much more to say, but that's all for now.

Let's keep it simple, shall we?

To noticing your stories & responding boldly,

Marie Masse

P.S. The storefront is re-open and has had a bit of a facelift and will remain quite low key for 2023.... I'll tell you why in the next email soon.

Two stories (with prompts), and some news… This month, I took a trip to my home state.I stayed at my childhood home where clues of my neurodivergence in adolescence still linger. Specifically, a silly sensory story, plus my deep need to create and express. 1 - I used to FREAK OUT if there was a hair in the bathtub (someone else’s). I’d refuse to get in the tub or I’d get out of it until my mom came to remove it. So today hangs this small “hare in the tub” art print in my childhood bathroom in...
